Your favorite community of apartments on Lakeshore Blvd. is back with another informative blog post for our residents! This week, we’re talking about some of the best dog parks to find in our amazingly dog-friendly city.
If you’ve ever been to a more pet-friendly city than Austin, TX, we’d love to hear about it. It’s hard to imagine a city that loves dogs more than this one, because it seems like every restaurant, bar and cafe is willing to open their doors to our four-legged friends. We love that aspect of Austin, and we hope you do too!
While we all love bringing our dogs to bars and restaurants, we also understand that dogs prefer wide open space where they can run, wrestle and chase sticks. Happy hour might be fun for humans, but it can be a bit of a bore for the pups. We know a lot of our residents have dogs, so we thought we’d share a list of the best dog parks near Connection!
Check out the list of dog parks below, and please be sure to share this link with your friends and neighbors in your community of Riverside apartments!
For a dog park with views, it’s hard to beat Auditorium Shores. Your dog will enjoy tons of open space with dozens of other pups while you enjoy views of downtown and Town Lake. Auditorium Shores takes up a lot of space, but the off-leash area is located on the far end of the park. You’ll see signs marking it as a designated off-leash area. There are also two different parts of the park that lead down to the water, so bring your dog here if it likes to splash around and swim!
This is the closest dog park on our list, and it’s a great place to meet other people living in the Riverside neighborhood. Norwood Estate Dog Park has a small dog area and a big dog area, and they’re separated by a fence. THe park has plenty of shade for owners to relax in, and you can usually find a couple chairs to hang out in while your dog runs around. Parking can be a little difficult, so try to park in the neighborhood if you can find a spot!
This last dog park isn’t as close as some of the other dog parks on our list, but it’s in Austin and Austin isn’t all that big to begin with. Although Red Bud Isle isn’t the closest dog park, it is the coolest dog park in Austin. It’s an off-leash space with tons of room for dogs to run, swim, climb on trees and chase other pups around the park. Parking is extremely limited, but if you get there early or go on a weekday you can usually find a spot without having to wait in line for too long.
With that, we’ve reached the end of our list of the best dog parks near Connection.
